A Beautiful Hidden River Barn Wedding
What can I say about this Venue? I have been wanting to photograph here for almost a year and when I got in touch to ask to photograph here at The Hidden River Barn I was over the moon! The Venue is in the heart of the Cumbria countryside surrounded by stunning woodland and a stream that runs directly beside the Venue.
Luxury Log Cabins – Bridal Prep
All the girls and Bridesman! Were almost ready with makeup and hair completed all that was left to do was put on their dresses and make their way to the hidden River Barn. The great thing about the log cabins is that they are across the field from one another so the groomsmen and groom were within walking distance. I was able to move between them both to get groom prep and bridal prep Photography.
Cumbria Wedding Photography
The accommodation that surrounds the venue is 5 stars with 7 luxury log cabins that surround the Wedding Venue that your guests can hire out for the night. Jessica was in the closest Luxury Cabin called Roe Deer Cabin which overlooks the stream and woods.
Ceremony with A Window View
The Ceremony room at the Hidden River Barn is out of this world with its floor-to-ceiling window creating some stunning light showering the couple as they stand there saying their vows! Photographing in this room is a photographer’s dream, most of the time you have to contend with downlighting or harsh orange light bulbs, but at the Hidden River Barn this was not the case! Once the ceremony had finished all guests made their way outside for the confetti photo. Shortly after we made our way around to the side of the building in front of another floor-to-ceiling glass window to photograph the family portraits, followed by a 20-minute portrait session around the grounds of the Venue.
Dancing Wedding Breakfast
Onto the Wedding breakfast & speeches! The room had been beautifully decorated by the talented Pampas By Post who specialise in pampas grass flower bouquets personally designed for your Wedding Day. At the end of every table was a stunning bouquet of pampas grass that complemented the rustic table decorations. Once all guests had sat down the bridesmaids and groomsmen were ready to enter the room! Not in a traditional way but to live music from Paddy Slater, dancing their way around the tables and pulling some funny dance moves, it was hilarious to watch all the guests had gotten involved dancing at their seats. After the speeches, the food was served.
Wedding Party
For the first dance, all the guests got up on the dancefloor and danced to the first song together something Jessica & Mark wanted, at the end of the day they wanted all their guests to be a part of this moment which was nice to see given that most weddings these days just have the bride and groom dancing with guests surrounding them. It was almost time to leave and honestly, I could have stayed all night everyone made me feel so welcome and by the end of the day I felt like I had made 2 amazing friends.
