Bashall Barn is located in the picturesque countryside just outside of Clitheroe. Its luxury accommodation and stunning views overlooking the Ribble Valley countryside make it the ideal wedding venue. Couples can choose from various locations to have their ceremony to create their dream wedding, ensuring a unique and memorable experience.
I’m Kyle, a northerner with a cheesy grin who would love to bring my creative eye to your special day. From ceremonies in medieval barns lit with twinkling fairy lights to funky festivals in farmer’s fields, I’ve been shooting unique weddings around the UK now for six years, working with over one hundred fantastic couples – many of whom I’m proud to call friends now.
My approach to photography is natural, with a documentary touch that captures the unique story of your day as it unfolds. Above all, I want my couples to feel completely at ease, so they can savour every magical moment of their wedding day.
As your wedding photographer at Bashall Barn, I specialize in capturing unstaged natural candid moments throughout your wedding day. My photography style is making sure you feel as relaxed as possible on your wedding day, from the late stages of morning preparations to the evening drinks reception and lively dancing in the party barn I want you to not worry about a thing. By being present and unobtrusive, I ensure that you and your partner are not distracted from enjoying your day and that I am able to document the unique and memorable moments that you may not notice.
Where to take couples for portraits?
There are some beautiful places to take couples for portraits at bashall Barn, Here of some of my favourite places I would consider for portraits.
Portrait 1:
A great location to get your portrait is just outside the venue on their vintage Grey Tractor using the venue as a stunning backdrop
Portrait 2
As you step outside the venue Twitter Lane is beside the accommodation, a great spot to take a walk towards the fields whilst taking some beautiful portraits.
Portrait 3
In the evening the venue’s outside lighting is a great way to get creative using the twinkling lights just outside the ceremony room. It works really well for a Twilight Wedding or as the evenings draw in.
Portrait 4
For an evening portrait, there is a perfect spot at the bottom of Bashall Barn down the gravel path leading to the outdoor ceremony area in between the trees. In my opinion, the evening portraits are my favourite and if you’re looking for a WOW photo this is the one! The trees come alive with a glow of colours and if it’s raining makes it even more magical.
Portrait 5
Bashall Barn has a tunnel that’s just beside the accommodation, this is a quirky spot that I like to use. At the right time of the day, the couple can be backlit by the sun or you can stand abit further away, as shown in the photos below.

Weddings at Bashall Barn are not short of plenty of things to do before your wedding day. If you are a keen walker then put on your walking boots as the surrounding area of Bashall Barn has some fantastic walking routes taking you through some of the stunning countryside.
Bashall Barn is a fully licenced venue holding up to 130 guests. You have the option to have your ceremony in 3 locations. Bashall Brook room with panoramic views of the beautiful Ribble Valley. If the weather is not raining the bi-folding doors can be fully opened and you can have your ceremony on the terrace over looking the Ribble valley countryside or you can have your amazing ceremony down at the bottom of the venue in the woodland area that’s now a brand new addition to bashall barn the perfect romantic ceremony area.
